A Poem from jcpenny – Inspired by Dr. Seuss and Oquirrh Hills Elementary!

by Joel F.M. Marler
Accounting Manager, jcpenny

The morning was filled with fun and glory.
Team Members each there for a story.
There were many small smiling faces
Transported to exciting places.
Feasting on Green Eggs and Ham
And introductions to Sam I Am.
Dr. Seuss once said the writer who breeds more words than he needs
Is making a memory for a reader who reads.
And reading is exactly what we did.
Enjoying time with many a kid.
Thank you thank you Oquirrh Hills.
We’ll see you soon for more happy thrills!

We all enjoyed our time with the students at Oquirrh Hills Elementary and truly appreciated the opportunity to come out and play a small part in the Reading Across America activities with United Way of Salt Lake. We are all richer for the memories we take away!! Thank you!
