Today, we are bursting with pride that our fearless leader, Deborah Bayle, was honored as the 2013 Outstanding Nonprofit Executive, at the 15th annual Utah Philanthropy Day luncheon.
Deborah has been the President and CEO of UWSL for 14 years. During her time as CEO, United Way of Salt Lake has earned a reputation for being an innovative, cutting-edge organization. At United Way, she has built a culture of excellence, accountability, and transparency. Deborah’s strength and tenacity has made the organization what it is today and she is a trusted voice and a dynamic community leader. Because of Deborah’s leadership, UWSL has been able to achieve an unprecedented organizational transformation and Deborah’s influence and vision will continue to make our community a better place for years to come.
I have learned so much from Deborah over the years, as both my boss and my friend. I thank her for her leadership and helping ignite a passion in me to work for social change in our community. She has influenced so many to give, to advocate, and to volunteer.
Dave Golden, Executive Vice President of Wells Fargo, said it best—“Deborah leads with grit and grace.” She is courageous, not afraid of change, and believes wholeheartedly in the work that we are doing everyday, to change the odds for kids and families in our community.
Congratulations, Deborah! There is no one in
our community more deserving of this honor!
