You may know Comcast as one of the nation’s leading providers of entertainment, information, and communication products and services. But did you know it is also actively involved in making Utah a better place to live?
Locally, Comcast has been a longtime supporter of United Way of Salt Lake. They continue to be a model of how to run a successful workplace giving campaign and how to LIVE UNITED. Comcast’s employee contributions continue to increase each year and this year’s corporate contribution from the Comcast Foundation more than doubled last year’s corporate gift! The Comcast Foundation calculates its grants to local United Ways with the percentage of employee participation at Comcast work locations across the country. This increase is a testament to the dedication of Comcast and its employees here in Utah.
Beyond its financial support, employees also put their hard work into the community. Comcast employees have not only committed to join us at United Way’s Day of Caring this coming September, but will also be volunteering through Comcast Cares Day. On April 26, Comcast will hold Comcast Cares Day, where employees and other volunteers will be at 11 different project sites across Utah — lending a hand at schools, community centers, parks, and other locations. This year, Comcast is expecting over 5,000 volunteers to participate!
Additionally, Comcast shows extraordinary support for United Way of Salt Lake’s advertising campaigns. With its substantial advertising sponsorship, Comcast has contributed to the overall success and broad visibility of our Changing the Odds campaign here in our community.
Comcast’s employees and leadership truly represent the type of engagement that United Way of Salt Lake relies on to change the odds for kids and families. Comcast’s extraordinary involvement will not only make a difference today, but for years to come!
Thank you, Comcast, for LIVING UNITED!
