Rocky Mountain Power is pleased to support United Way of Salt Lake in its effort to improve the lives of people in our community through the comprehensive planning and leadership that UWSL provides on challenging social issues. Using the collective impact model, investments in solutions can be maximized and results can be tracked to allow for a rational and systematic approach, which can bringing about much needed change.
The employees at Rocky Mountain Power support the thoughtful approach in how their donations are invested, and know that their gift that will benefit our community for many years to come. Our employees also appreciate the opportunities that United Way provides to connect with volunteer opportunities in our community or to advocate for policy issues.
As always, Rocky Mountain Power’s 2016 United Way of Salt Lake employee giving campaign launch included over-the-top activities to raise money for the community, while having lighthearted fun with coworkers.
Rocky Mountain Power hosted a community giving festival for employees. The festival offered a multitude of activities including a barbecue lunch and a pie-in-the-face contest. Employees had the opportunity to vote on who was to receive pies in the face and company presidents and CEOs Cindy Crane, Stefan Bird and Pat Reiten did not exempt themselves. They were among the more popular pie-in-the-face candidates with a total of 474 votes!
UWSL is a dedicated organization with a strong board of directors, and a management team and staff that is motivated and believe in the work that they are involved in. Rocky Mountain Power is proud to be a part of of that effort and help create real change in the communities where we live and work!
